Default Prescot P4 3.06 at 4.08ghz air cooled wanting 4.2

Hi guys dont mean to brag but i recently got some good heat sink paste and now i can get my pc stable at 4.06ghz.

Idle temps are 36-39 depending on ambient and 48-50 load.

Use to be 41-43 idle and 57-60+ load

I am running a 1.45volt core for cpu

At 1.6volts it posts and goes into windows and runs at 4.2ghz but locks up and occasionally reset when benching.

My power supply rails are good but would a droop mod help or
have i simply met the max cpu operating limit.

Also would water cooling help stability as before i changed the thermal paste couldnt go above 3.9 without instability issues/

To note i also replaced the power supply from a generic 400watt to a thermaltake 430watt true power and since then i got 4ghz stable but before i would get stability issues and couldnt go above 3.9

I only have a 6600gt clocked at 550 and 1100mem but i know prescots suk alot of juice would a good brand 500 or 550watt help me get a little bit more out of this processor.

I could believe it when i found out at 4ghz it draws nearly 120watt+ on full load.

The Forton 450W PSU should be a great one for overclocking. It has stable voltages and a lot of amps on the 12v rail.
