Default Powerstrip app. OC options

Ok, so I just downloaded this neat little program called Powerstrip. It's got lots of display options and some GPU overclocking options. The program says that my "Engine clock" is at 500mhz and my "memory clock" is at 1000mhz. What is it refering to with the engine and memory clocks? I've never oc'd before. It also has the option to increase these two things. What would be the safest numbers to increase the engine and memory clocks to? Thanks for any help.

Its kinda like how you can overclock your CPU and/or your RAM. Your best bet is to start OCing slowly in small increments. Once you have OC'd a little bit, go and plat a graphically intense game (like Doom 3, or something),and watch for artifacts. When you start seeing artifacts, that means you OC'd too far.

Artifacts are caused by overheating

To be safe, just overclock, test. If you get artifacts which are white \ black crap flying everyhwere, stop. You will know when you see it.

Okay, should I OC the "engine", "memory" or both at once?
