Question P5B-E & E6600 overclocking

hi i have a asus P5b-E and a E6600. I have managed to overclock my E6600 to 2.7ghz by setting the fsb in the bios to 300 and setting the vcore voltage to 1.300v my problem is i am using stock cooling and my E6600 idles around
44 to 48 celsius and when on load it reaches to 55 celsius. Should i be worried about these temps or can i overclock to 3.0ghz without worrying about overheating

Default Re: P5B-E & E6600 overclocking

Are you just overclocking out of raw speed without doing any stress test or checking temperatures? You better have Orthos running at night and using Everest or RightMark to check your CPU temperatures. 55C load is ok for a stock fan. If you buy AS5 or MX-1 with Artic Cooling Freezer 7 then I think your load will drop to about anywhere from 40-46c and idle time would be about 30 something celcius (maybe in the mid 30s).
