| How hard would it be to overclock this Cpu to 3.0ghz. It would basically make it this Cpu, no? I did some reading from a google search and found people getting it to 3.6. Just wondering how dangerous it would be to try, if it blows up I'm sol. I have never overclocked before and didn't understand most of my google search. ![]() |

| like viksta said, 3 would be easy with that cpu.. but going off of personal experience I would go with the q6600 for much cheaper and I have managed to get mine to 3.6 stable all day and the highest is 3.92 for benching... The extreme cpu's from intel are mainly for the hardcore enthusiast. they also have a sticky here for intel overclocking you should read that clarified alot of it for me.
