| Ninja Stargate Addict | The CPU's speed can be determined by its multiplier multiplied (duh) by the FSB e.g. in my CPU it is a 17x multiplier times by 200FSB to give me 3.4Ghz. By increasing the multiplier, u are simply multiplying 200 by one more, so if i increased mine to 18x (for argument's sake...) then i would have a clock speed of 3.6Ghz and so forth...but this will NOT affect my quadpumped FSB, so i would still have a FSB of 800Mhz, even though my core clock is higher. |
