Default Overclocking Newbie help /w q6600

hey guys, ive been reading up guides on overclocking the q6600, and came across really complicated guides where they talk about memory timings, cpu core voltages, fsb, etcetc, and then forum posts where others have modestly 'bumped' up the fsb on their motherboard options to 333 to get their q6600's to 3.0ghz. the latter option is what i'd like to do, and was wondering if it would be fine, considering im a complete newbie at overclocking, and would only wish to reach 3.0ghz with my cpu. (planning to get a thermalright ultra extreme 120 for my g0 q6600 cpu, so hopefully wont have any issues getting to 3.0ghz on first try)

You might have to adjust voltages, but you won't know until you try it..

There will come a day, such a day when all will be told more than they wish to know, what one hears may explain the past, it may explain the future, but it has never made a difference either way and it will change nothing. Some day.... But that is not this day, and I don't know when, I just don't know.

Not adjust voltages, are you crazy?

Push it man, don't be afraid.
