Thumbs up Opty 146 CAB2E 0546FPAW - 2.9GHz stable

I am in the process of testing my CPU, and it seems to have maxed out at 2.9GHz prime stable. Now I am working on the RAM, and when I get home today I will post the rest of my results and screenshots. And I still have another 146 on the way from NCIX that is hopefully a better stepping. I'm happy

I'm impressed. Wish I could get an overclock that high!

Well it failed prime after 45 minutes with a rounding error. I think all I need to do is bump up the voltage one more notch and I've got it

Nice, so you go one of the lucky hit-or-miss CAB2E up to 2.9ghz. I have the same stepping in my 148 but i havent tried to OC it yet, but i will start this weekend.

Cool.

What voltage are you using and what are your temps?

Now using 1.575v, not sure about the temps, they are not reported correctly.

well, as long as the cooling isn't anything chincy, then I'm sure the temps are okay on it. In well circulated cases, those things hit voltage barriers before they hit temperature barriers.
