Default northbridge temp question

so i have a 680i with the north bridge set to 1.55v it sets at around 50-52 C i was wondering is that too hot???

If that's idle, that's too hot. On load, thats OK.

Just wondering, what software are you using to monitor NB temperatures?

everest. idk my is kinda weird, i might install ntune for a little bit just to check it aginst that

what is a good nb temp?

My guess would be 30-40 for idle, and 40-50 on load.

I use Everest too, but I don't see NB temperatures, unless that's what the motherboard temperature reading is.

big galp his temps are fine mine are at that to alltho im on 1.6v, the 680i does tend to run hotter then x38.

I'm not a big galp...lol

I just prefer it to be cooler. No harm in trying to get your temperatures down.

ya thats true cooler is better but i havnt had any problems so far i can only hope lol.

those are actually average north bridge temps, i never thought thye got so hot, i did a litle lookign around and thats about average.

Mine is at 32 idle, around 35-40 load. Have 2x40mm fans on it, plus a massive 250mm fan blowing the whole motherboard.
