| Re: need help with new opty 165 i just contacted AMD Support and they suggested me to reformat my computer since im upgrading from a singlecore processor to a double.
I need to know if this is will fix the problem for sure.
Unless their is another option available...
Ill wait for a reply for some time, if not ill just reformat and post results if any. |

I did windows update and im up to date now.
Im pretty sure i have sp2...i think
And still no results.
The xp cd i have is a restore cd for emachines t6420. I got it from Best Buy.
I did full restore...it wiped out everything. I though it would work but nothing.
In device manager it shows both the opterons,but under computer it shows ACPI.
would you know if my motherboard is incompatible? |

Should i try dl a a xp pro cd. and use my serial....would that work
Do u think its my mobo?
and are my temps normal...theybe been around 55-60C |

Or should i use the slipstream thing with the recovery cd i have now? |
