yeah yeah, i bought a PC. But It's crappy and I need to make it not crappy.

Here are the specs as to what I already know

'97 Dell OptiPlex GX

P1 @ ???

3 Gb HDD (when I bought it, it was partitioned, and only 2% of available space was left)

32 Mb of (old) Ram <----dunno what kind

4x CD-Rom

20" (19" viewable) CRT

Iomega Zip 100

2 USB 1.0 slots

Windows 98

Don't know about the MoBo or anything else fer that matter.

If anyone can tell me where I can get new hardware for this brick, I'd appreciate it.

Here's what I want to add/replace

A soundcard (anykind will do)
A video card (once again, any will do)
I'd like a 10 gig HDD, but maybe that's too big...
Definitely a new MoBo
More RAM
A CD-RW
Zip 250
Optical Mouse/Keyboard
USB 2.0 or, more USB ports

I'd also like to Overclock it. If someone would tell me how, i'd appreciate it.

I'll try to come back with more info and specs later. But that's all i have right now.

dang! thats a brick alright!....however,..i wouldn't suggest that you buy new peripherals for it...look up for second hand hardware.

Alrighty, I found an expert who knows her stuff (my mom's friend, so her help is free!) and she's gonna help me with all this stuff. But nothing new you say? I guess that makes sense, I'll have to find stuff that fits it probably huh?

anyway, what i'm mainly worried about is the RAM, HDD, and speed.
