i want to put in some lighting inside my box.
unfortunately,i dont think there is a shop here that sells cathodes.
can LEDs be a substitute?are they concerns for producing heat inside the box?

yes, LEDs are good substitutes,...i used LEDs on my very first mod. just make sure you have enough juice(power) for the LEDs(superbright/hyperLEDS).

for added info,..some of my friends use neons that were generally designed for car plates.

now the question is,
i want to put a switch on it os i can just switch it ON if i only want to impress and OFF if i dont need it (daytime).will that not cause any problems if i switch it ON/OFF while the PC is already ON.or do i have to reboot to switch it?

yes,i'll be using a rocker switch.
im concerned of power fluctuations.

just make sure you have a big power supply..and everything will do just fine. i once had a 300watt psu...inside a pc that has 4 hyper/lazer LEDS....i had BSOD a lot of times for that.

how will i connect the LEDs to the molex(?)?
im planning on using at least 2.
