Default intel Q9450 overclocking

Hi

I just got a new intel Q9450 (c1 stepping) and i was wondering if anyone will be able to tell me to what extent i might be able to overclock this little beauty on stock volts (1.28V on my PC). I've seen others overclock theirs past 3.4Ghz, but i want to start with something a little less strenuos for my CPU...

It is currently on 333x8, but i was thinking of making a dive straight for 400x8, which will equal the QX9770, but i was wondering if i might need to raise any voltages for that on my Asus P5N-D...

DOes anyone have any suggestions as to what might constitute a "safe" and "stable" overclock?

a safe overclock is one that remains under say 70 degrees under load

a stable overclock is one that can remain 12 hours+ without crashing under load

Get the quad-core version of Prime95 or try Orthos for stress testing, 6-8 hours is usually enough for me, make sure your room is nice and cool, monitor your temps with Coretemp

If anything you might have to touch the NB vcore, but I doubt it just for 400 fsb
