| Ya so yesterday i was able to overclock my amd xp2800+ which has a barton core so im assuming it's unlocked. i was able to change the multiplier to 10.5 and create a 400mhz fsb when it came stock as 333mhz. sweeeeeeet considered i just bought and assembled the computer last weeek.

| Devil is your CPU an AMD Athlon XP 2800 + *333 FSB* Barton (2.08 GHz) with AMD Heat Sink Fan? It certainly sounds like it. At default clock speeds it should be 166MHz with a multiplier of 12.5.

| The AMD AthlonXP 3200+ Barton is the only processor with a 400MHz fsb speed. Like my System 1 processor.

| i can change the multiplier up to 15 in my system , and for kangaroo, the processor came stock at 333mhz. i overcloked it to obtain a 400mhz fsb to coincide with my memory which is ddr400, when i put my new heatsink on this week i'll post the serial numbers on the cpu and you people can let me know if its locked or not... thanks, ryan
