Default i hope its lapping time.

ok so i have some 300 400 and 1200 grit paper will this be enought to lapp, im guessing use the 400 to get all the tin off, then finish it off with some water and 1200 on a glass table or glass sheet. please tell me this will be enough.

I used 400 and stopped at 400

I'd say 800 would be helpful as well... although that is as veedub mentioned, more so for shine

and why are you wet sanding? water + chip is bad?

dry sanding should be perfectly fine... oh and what about 1500 or 2000 grit for superior shine?

Wet sanding provides a much smoother finish than dry sanding. Also wet sanding is a necessity with high grit sandpaper. Basically 600 and up otherwise the paper gets clogged with particles.

ya you just wipe it down with alchohol, and let it dry before putting it in, i cant manage to get a mirror finish itl reflect words on an angle tho. and when i took a picture i can see my cameras reflection, but when i look at it i cant see my face but the camera is showing on the chip in the pic i took.
edit it also sticks to the tuniq preaty welll since its been dry.
