Not to mention the security and all. My favorite feature is the 'find' bar that shows up at the bottom instead of making a window over the page that you're trying to pick through ..EDIT: Also, isn't a 600mb pagefile a little small? This page recommends a pagefile size 1.5 times that of your RAM. And I'm assuming that keeping the size fixed at 600mb increases performance by keeping the computer from resizing it all the time?

| 1. Like people have said above, SP2 isn't bad on a fresh install only...infact it seems to have made it harder for things to get in because it's firewall is pretty decent. 2. Firefox sucks...I don't know why people recommend it up the ***, use Avant browser....it's similar to IE except for one major difference, it doesn't suck...has a good built in pop up blocker as well as Ad blocker, is very easy to use, also isn't 'clunk' and tabs all the windows down in the bottom of one big window. 3. Avast anti-virus is free, doesn't use up a lot of resources and is also quite handy for keeping away unwanted crap in your computer...but that doesn't really have to do with 'optimizing' per se...but hey, figured I'd mention it |

You really dont need system restore. It is a big waste of time and space. IF they have a problem with their computer, that is why we are here. So your saying that If I had 2gb I should have 3gb of pagefile? In my opinion. If I had 2gb of ram, I would chop the page file down to 10mb. I would of completely cut it down to 0, but windows cries and whines when you do that.
