If it isn't beeping yet, then double check those connections, remember they can go on the wrong way round (they have + and - like a battery, if that didn't make sense)
Sometimes the correct way is written on the motherboard, but it'll definitely be in the mobo manual.

alright its not beeping but ill go check the plugs could it be the video card memory or monitor thats not working? im not sure whats going on but ill check it again

If the monitor isn't working, it should still beep, and there should be disk activity as OS loads.
Video card and memory failures are indicated by different beeps.
