| Hey guys, I recently bought an HP a1730n desktop... Then I upgraded to a Radeon 1950PRo, and a 500watt thermaltake power supply. Recently I've been trying to tweak some bios settings, but I think that HP limited its users to very few basic bios options. Is there any way I could change the bios to a non HP "version", and be able to access all these settings such as ram timings and all that good stuff? I've heard of people exchanging video card bios, but can it be done on a mobo? If so how? Where do I get the new bios? is it safe? I'm not sure the brand of my mobo (I think it's Asus). Thank you so much guys! P.s. the system I have written below in my signature is my old one - disregard that one!

| Super Techie | You can change the bios on a mobo, but upgrading an hp bios still might not allow you to overclock. They limit that stuff a lot on retail pc's.
