I have an AMD 64 3000 and i was just wondering how far it could be overlcockers safely on the fan that is provided. Is it actualy wise to overclock with the fan provided or should i get another one?

generally i prefer to not overclock on stock cooling.. but you should look at ur temps

aww u can oc tons on stock, not sure bout amd but my celerons got stock and its like up 600mhz jus push it little by little and watch ur temps, when u crash or windows dosent load or the temps get too high for u jus back it down a notch

Do not overclock an Athlon64 with the stock heatsink/fan.

Cause you might burn it up.

what fan do you suggest, that is not too expencive. Oh and water cooling is out of the question (unless you know of a cheap one).

The stock heatsink/fan for the Athlon64 is horrible. If you want something effective, I would recommend the TR2-M6 (designed by Thermaltake).
