How do i Quiet down PC Without compromising cooling?

Is there a way to make my system quieter without making it warmer? i only have 3 fans in it and its pretty loud..... what are my options for noise reduction

Water cool? There are some good heatsinks for processors. They are just big heat sinks, no fans on them. These are usually they loudest fans.

i dont trust water cooling! how reliable is it! what if there is a leak!

get new fans... the bearings in the old ones may be worn...
Blow all the dust out of the case while you are at it... Make sure that you get the dust out of the front cover too .

the one in the power supply, you are stuck with... unless you change that...

A fan controller may help. Then you can throttle down some fans when you aren't running the system at high loads.

the hardcano 9 is a very good controller. i think the hardcano 12 came out recently, it looks very good.

Water cooling is fool proof anymore. The setup is simple and once installed, there is only 1 fan on the raditor, and some don't even have a fan. Just more copper tubing to cool off. The only thing you have to worry about is keeping your reservoir full.

i am considering water cooling.. anyone know of a good kit... that maybe comes with a warrany to protect pc parts if they get wet?

Make sure that you get the dust out of the front cover too . the one in the power supply, you are stuck with... unless you change that...
