|  How do I hook my computer to my tv?
I just bought a 42" LCD TV today and would like to try some PC games on it. Is it as simple as using the S-video cord from my video card and plugging it into the TV?

Yes, but S-video is not very high resolution.
If you can, use VGA, DVI or HDMI.

Hmm...how do I pull that off with the video card? My card came with an adapter for the S-video output with 3 plugs i've never seen - "Y" "Pb/Comp" and "P r"....would I just need 3 wires between that and the tv inputs of those types?

Those are component connectors for the TV. You need a component cable.

If you have that red/white/yellow cable, it also works. Just make sure you match the colors.

But computer use at standard definition (720x480)will not be pleasant.
What all kinds of inputs does your TV have? I've noticed alot of new ones just have inputs for computers (Vga/DVI).

RGB, HDMI, and Component...plus the regular AV ones.

You should consider getting a DVI-HDMI adapter.
