Default *HOT* NEW AMD PRICES --time to upgrade--

Quote:
If you are planning to buy a new AMD based PC or processor upgrade then take my advice strongly, wait for another week or so as it's confirmed that AMD will SLASH its prices. You have to love competition in the CPU market, Intel's release of the Core 2 Duo series processor is certainly a fantastic product from many points of view this way

I was considering an AMD at first, but when the reviews came out about Conroe..... it was pretty much reversed..

But yea, AMD definitly changed their drop scheme. The last time I saw it the X2 3800+ was $163....

Old news, but I will let that slide

Yeah, these prices definitely help their case. For someone building from scratch, they still cannot compete with Intel since a ~$320 Core 2 Duo beats a ~$800 FX-62, but, if you already have a single core socket 939 setup, picking up an X2 3800 for $150 would sure be a nice option.

Well if your a 939 user or AM2 user it would be a lot easier to just upgrade to a better CPU....

Weird. I bought my 3500+ for 120 bucks Canadian a month ago, which is like 90 bucks US.

Glad I didn't lose out on much
