| I own a AMD 64 X2 4800+ 939 Toledo EVGA NF-47 Nforce 4 Sli x16 mainboard 2GB Corsair XMS pc3200 DDR 400 Dual channel I cannot seem to overclock the CPU, only underclock. The Toledo core cannot raise the multiplier above x12 My overclocked RAM speeds are stable! Here are my DEFAULT settings: (I cannot change the first 2 lines) Current FSB Frequency 200 MHz Current DRAM Frequency 200 Mhz CPU Voltage at Next Boot 1.32v CPU Ratio at next boot x12 Mem clock at next boot 200 MHz CPU clock at next boot 200 MHz CPU Vcore 7-Shift Noraml VDIMM Voltage Select 2.75 NB Chip 1.2v Select 1.20v (Default) SB Chip 1.5v Select 1.50v (Default) Here are the settings I have tried to overclock to: Current FSB Frequency 201 MHz Current DRAM Frequency 216 Mhz CPU Voltage at Next Boot 1.4v CPU Ratio at next boot x12 Mem clock at next boot 216 MHz CPU clock at next boot 220 MHz CPU Vcore 7-Shift Normal VDIMM Voltage Select 2.85 NB Chip 1.2v Select 1.20v (Default) SB Chip 1.5v Select 1.50v (Default) I am trying for a 2.6 GHz clock. 220 x 12 = 2640 My ram timings are 2,3,3,6 T1 @ 216 MHz 2.85v STABLE I overclocked my 64 3200+ Venice core in the past to 2.2 GHZ just by changing the CPU clock to 220. (220 x 10= 2200) And it worked fine! Very stable without more voltage. I raised the CPU voltage here to 1.4 to see if it would work then... and nothing. Understand that nothing changes when I set the CPU clock. I even tried a 12 x 300 and nothing happened! The system booted up fine into windows, but the speed still reads as 2.4 GHz I am still new to overclocking... anyone know what I am doing wrong? |
