Default Help me OC' a Core 2 Quad Q6600

Help me OC' a Core 2 Quad Q6600, can u help me hit 3.0 Ghz, it will be combined with a Asus P5N-E with FSB adjusting and Bus Speed Adjusting and Voltage (CPU and Memory) so i can hit 3.0 Ghz, it will be using aftermarket cooling, and will be bought sometime in August..... (July 23rd at the earliest)

I have the P5N-E motherboard. And this is the guide, based on that motherboard, I used to help me overclock my C2D:

What exactly do you need help with?

The process of overclocking is not difficult.
You raise the CPU Clock incrementally, testing for stability for each increment, if its not stable you up the vcore, MCH Voltage, FSB Voltagae, RAM Voltage or any combination of them..

i got my q6600 to 2.7 with 42 idle 58 load. not sure how hot they can go tho. prob be ok at 65 sum guy i saw had his at 75/80
