| im using this v-tuner to overclock my 9600pro.want to get the best out of it b4 i get my new rig later this year.the default is 400 core clock and 406 memory clock.can someone tell me wads the core and memory for?and which one shuld i increase more.thanks...

| core is the frequency of the graphics processor (GPU) and obviously memory is the memory frequency. the core speed matters more. i can't tell you how much to increase it by as it's different for every card. you have to get a "feel" for it. try increasing by 5 to 10Mhz at a time and testing for artifacts. give ATI Tool a try. it has an artifact scanner and is probably the preferred program of most overclockers here (including nVidia owners like myself ).

| yep.i just clocked it to core 427 and memory core 500.the default was 400 and 406.so far so good.tried upping the core to 440 at first but it crashed.wonder 427 and 500 is good enough......
