Default Help:first time OC 4400+ A8N-SLI

Hi, looking to OC my older rig. Never OC'd before, read up on it and tried to do it without help, but my comp would never boot. I have a A8N-SLI motherboad(ASUS) 4400+ at 2.2GHz i think. Not sure if i need to OC my ram but here it is.
Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
i also am using a BFG GF 7800 GTX OC, i think my video card is overclocked from manufacturer. If someone could give me step by step instructions. I know how to get into bios and everything, just not sure what i should set everything to.

ram speed to 266, stock timings.
ht multiplier to 4 or 3 (keep your ht bus under 1000)
voltage, meh start at stock and see how far it goes.
test it for a couple hours once you tack 20 or so mhz on the clock speed.
report back.

thanks, ill have to dabble in my bios, but im pretty sure they are named differently.
i think i know where the ht x is.
what about cpu multiplier? ive been told 10? i think its on auto right now. How do i add 20mhz? the Vcore? i think its like at 200 right now, so i put it to 220?

your ht multiplier will be at auto or 5. take it off auto.
no leave the multiplier at 11.
if you drop it to 10 you will have to do all kinds of things to keep your ram speed under control (it will actually overclock your ram more than keeping it at 11). at least for now, leave it be.
yeah, it should be at 200 stock. i dont know what its called on your mobo. cpu clock/core clock/external cpu clock but yes it should be 200mhz stock.
