Default help cooling laptop...

my laptop overheats after about 30min on a normal surface then just shuts down. so i need a way to cool down my laptop. i have 2 fans on the bottom of the laptop and vents in the back. i bought a antec notebook cooler which is the stupidest thing. i didnt read what it did. it sucks in the heat and releases it thru the bottom instead of sucking in air from the bottom and pushing air to the bottom of the laptop. since the antec fans are a bit more powerful than the laptops it sucks in the air that the laptop needs to cool it down so i conclude that this is the stupidest invention. any idea on how to cool it down without actually opening up the laptop?
