|  HD not the MASTER well... as i was looking through the bios today, i realized that my dvd drive is the master, and my HDD isnt even the slave, its on "SATA PORT 5"... lol. does this matter? what does making it master do?

 | Re: HD not the MASTER well.. thats cuz master and slave would be w/ an IDE cable.... while your HDD is going through your SATA ports.. and you have it plugged in your 5th port.. there's nothing wrong here

| Re: HD not the MASTER some1 on vent told me that my hard drive needs to be set as MASTER... so i went to the people that know best  i feel kinda stupid now... but thanks nos.

| Re: HD not the MASTER ya if you were using and IDE hard drive, then yes you would want it master but since your sata, no worries just tell him his computer is old  and that yours is new technology.. haha
