| Ultra Techie | It depends on what kind of drive you're getting. If you want a 10000 RPM, definitely get the Western Digital Raptor. Otherwise, the Seagate Barracuda w/ NCQ is the best 7200 option for sheer speed and low noise.

| Ultra Techie | WDs are really good for their raptors. Their 7200 drives are good also, but the Seagates are more quiet and faster. They also have NCQ which speeds up requests, a feature that the WD lacks.

| Ultra Techie | That might be why most people buy the raptors. I'm guessing that NCQ on a 10000 must be much more difficult to do, probably raising the price and raising the speeds.

| Ultra Techie | It should, that drive is a SATA and your board has SATA ports. That drive is OEM, so make sure you have a SATA cable. I would wait for another opinion. Perhaps someone can argue for the other drives.
