Question Is this a good starter watercooling kit?

My specs are in my sig, i want to take my e8400 to 3.6ghz. specs are in my sig. Will this get the job done?
Petra's Tech Shop
or any other recommendations for around the same price?

thats one of the kits i was considering, and from what i know (not much) it is a pretty good setup.
but, what i DO know is that your e8400 will do 3.6 on a crappy air cooler. probably the stock cooler even. easily. well, its in your sig...do you have it at 3.6 now or did you mean you want to go to 4.6?

i think you would need a big amount of voltage to run at 4.6 ghz ;p

well the e8600 can hit 5ghz not sure if the e8400 will be able to get 4.7

this is an ongoing debate around here....i say watercooling isnt needed on the 45nm (especially the duals...maybe on the quads) because you will far surpass the danger line of voltage before your temps get out of hand using air. thats my opinion.

i want to hit 4ghz with my e8400. I just dont trust my AF7 pro. And I want a kit I can put in other builds in the future.

i had my e8500 hit 4.7ghz for a pi run, completely stable, i was able to play games and everything

but needed 1.67v... YAOZA... (bios was 1.7v)
