true, but things are starting to drop in power consumption over increasing, I think eventually you could use a Fortron 450w for an uber system that kicks all other PC's butt's

We can only hope, but thats not to say I won't want four Raptors in RAID 0, Water cooling and a Blue Ray burner down the Road.

A new CPU, im guessing your running a Skt 939, you could get a Athlon 3800+ X2 as they are cheap or get a better Opterton such as a 180

so with my 3200+ is it pointless in getting this video card? like if im getting 50fps in CSS now, will i get over 130 with the 8800 still?

You will definately see an increase in FPS but you won't be taking full advantage of the card with your current CPU
