Default Getting ready to overclock

ok so I have a P5K SE with a core 2 duo E6420 w/ Arctic pro 7 cooler.

What are some of the things i need to enable or disable in the BIOS?

Nothing really to enable or disable. You need to tweak your fsb and voltage mainly. If you have some good ram then you can probably tighten the timings a bit. The 6420 has a locked multiplier so nothing you can do there. Raise it by small increments... You know the usual stuff we say on here

When i overclocked to get past 2.79ghz i had to disable EIST and C1E but you probably wont.

Hmmm... why did you have to disable speedstep? Mine runs fine at it's speed.
