Default getting a quiet case.

If i put styrofoam around in my case just a thin layer will that abbsorb some of the sound?

I have a thermaltake fan and blower i'd like to run on high without hearing as much noise from the fans.

I just hope that the stuff he is getting me won't fry anything.

Won't make much difference at all. If the hardware is attached to the case, it'll cause vibrations throughout the case, making noise. Quality cases have ways of dealing with this vibrations. Cheaper cases usually have very thin steel that spread vibrations.

styrofoam proably wont do much, but thick foam padding will, I think... better off just buying a sound obsorbing kit if you want it quieter. http://svc.com/aam1.html
