Default GeForceFX 5650Go Heat Regulation

Does the GeForceFX 5650Go have some sort of heat regulation system? The reason I ask is I've tried overclocking my card using the built in overclocking freature in the driver and using Powerstrip. Every time I move up the frequency sliders a small amount, I run a benchmark to test for stability. I've noticed that after a while, I get drastic performance drops as if the card is clocking itself down. When I check the GPU temps in I8kfanGUI, I notice that the performance drops corresepond to drops in GPU temperature. As soon as the temp hits 100C, the performance and heat drop of a few second and then everyting returns to normal and after a while, it happens again. Is the GPU automatically clocking itself down due to heat and if so, is there a way to turn it off?
