Default Geforce FX 5200 performance

Hey guys,
Today i bought a Geforce FX 5200, i installed the drivers etc etc right but it isnt improving my performance on games by much (it is a bit better quality though), btw i used to have a Radeon 7000!
Tomorrow i am getting an AMD Athlon Xp 2500+ with a Gigabyte 7s748 motherboard, will this make the performance on the gfx card better because the processor is faster?
And is the FX 5200's power limited because the cpu is so slow? (700MHz)

Thanks,

Take back the GeForce. Nvidia is falling short and does not seem to be even trying to compete with ATI.
Get a new ATI 9600XT or 9800XT.
New models just came out and have very nice features.
The 9600 is not outrageously priced.

Core: 250 MHz
Memory: 400 MHz
Texture Pipelines: 4
Texture mapping units per pipeline: 1
Memory Bandwidth Capacity: 6.4 GB/sec.

All info can be found here (Shameless self promotion)

In reality, the performance falls in between the GeForce4 MX 460 and the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, which doesn't make it much faster than previous-generation cards, nor is it even up to the performance of the older GeForce4 Ti 4200 and ATI Radeon 9000-based cards.
