$280 for a network card seems like robbery. I can't think of anything this thing could do that your average NIC couldn't

get a gigabit card if your worried about not having a fast enough card.... but you'd have to pay like $150+ a month for a connection to utilize it... what a bunch of con artists

it is a pretty frickin sweet looking card though

You're paying for eye candy, basically. And I can't find any real specifications, so it's probably 99% BS.

Yes, we were discussing this with mike last night. My understanding is that it is infact an above average NIC card (plus it does indeed look nice) but the consesus was that it is not worth $250
