Default Gainward 6600GT Permanantly Damaged?

I have a Gainward 6600GT 128MB GLH Gfx Card. Recently when i have been playing games there is constantly purple artifacts over the screen. The card is not overclocked when i get this. However I used to overclock it, and i have a feeling i may have pushed it too far once. Can overclocking your card permanantly damage it, and result in artifacts everytime i use it from now on?

The temperature of the card is at about 70 degrees when im playing Call of Duty 2.

You probably screwed it over. Try downloading the latest drivers or try it on a defferent machine. Temps look ok.
