Default DFI Lanparty SLI-DR Overclocking guide?

Hi there,

Had my PC for a good 3 years now and it is beginning to feel older and older. So what i would like to do is overclock it but i would like a good guide to make sure i'm doing everything fine if that is possible?

Specs:

AMD X2 4800+
OCZ 2x1GB platinum
7900GTX

Official AMD Overclocking Thread.

That sticky should be a big help. If your PC is feeling older that's just because simply, it is older. OCing honestly won't be a huge help in sprucing it up. I'm not saying it's pointless just don't expect to see a major performance increase. That board is AM2 correct? You could just pick up a newer processor for dirt cheap from AMD.

lol, i'm not spending more money on my PC for a while. When i bought it AM2 was not even out and the 4800+ and 7900GTX was top of the market. Spent about £1,500. It still runs most new games decently since im using XP - not going to change to vista simply because it takes more resources than necessary.

Only reason i asked for a guide is because i know how good DFI's lanparty motherboard series are at overclocking and may give more options than most other motherboards but looks like i'll just stick to using the manual.

Here's you some "light" reading. I am getting ready to crank my s939 a bit as well, so the search helped me out, too.
