I used the two pronged credit card spread tactic on my true 120 and core i7. I'm kinda sorry i did, i was just following the true 120 instructions

I always let the heatsink spread it out for me as well; I don't see a need to spread it out myself as the heatsink will do that when I put pressure down on it .

Rice grain size dab on the cpu then place the heatsink on and let it smooth itself out? Do you need to move the heatsink around (wiggle it side to side) for it to place or just place it straight on and that's it? Just wanting to know for future reference .

Just place the heat sink right on top and that's that. The pressure will smooth it out, like carnage said.

After I've secured it down, I try to twist it just a little bit (as much give as it will give me anyway), but that's about it.
