Default Cooling software

Just wondering if anyone else has used the Athlon Softcooler .

The results I've had using it are almost too good to be true. My idle temps dropped 12 degrees and my load temps dropped 10 degrees using this software. It is free.

For those that know more than I do and have used similar software, how does it work and what would be the ideal settings? For now I'm just using the defaults.

Do you mean it speeds up the fan? Controls fan speed?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe my fan speeds are the same.

I am very surprised that only one person has heard about this software. If it is actually cooling the processor (instead of just changing the numbers) it is a must have for overclockers. If it is just changing the numbers, it is changing them on all my temp monitors.
