| I was just wondering, I have a AMD Athlon XP +2200 (not overclocked) running with a temperature of about 50 C (with the standard heatsink and fan it came with). I wanted to know if that temp for the CPU was to high and would damage it over time. If so, do any of you know of a good fan/heatsink that would bring my temperature down. One company I've been looking at is CoolerMaster. --------------------------------------------------------- MSI K7N2 Delta nVidia nForce 2 chipset AMD Athlon XP +2200 512 mb Kingston Dual RAM ATI Radeon 9600 SE |

| well, no, it wont damage your CPU, but it would be a good idea to get better than stock cooling, because most stock cooling sucks ![]()

| True Techie | use motherboard monitor, or use a therm, to read the temps right at the base.

| Monster Techie | I just replaced my CPU Thermal Compund and I am currently using CPU CooL to measure the temps of my computer.
