Does anyone know if the Collermaster V8 cpu cooler fits in an Antec 300 case ok?

if the core contact can then the cooler master V8 should fit easily.

If you don't already have the V8 I would get a Sunbeam Core Contact instead, it's cheaper, cools better, and comes with the best thermal paste.

Yeah agreed, the v8 is great but really your paying for the looks and not so much the performance. Price per degree the sunbeam easily is the best choice atm.

Thats great, thanks for the info guys.. though the sunbeam doesn't specify 1366 support. Can I use it on an I7 rig?

can't find it anywhere in the UK maybe it will turn up before i build (six weeks). If not then is the V8 the next best cooler? (mind you I've only seen a couple of other 1366 coolers here, rather thin on the ground it seems).

IMO (and the opinion of most reviews) this is the best cooler.
Better than both the v8 and the sunbeam.
