Default Cmos settings reseting

Past 2 mornings when ive booted up my rig, All my cmos settings are reset back to default, luckily i remeber all my overclocking settings n junk, but why is it doing this? The battery is still good.

are you sure? did you change the battery out with a new one? the only reason i ask is that is the only thing i have ever had reset my settings to default. that, and a bad overclock. lol...and when you leave the cmos jumper shorted. you may want to check that...dumb mistake, but i've done it yessir.

Nope, battery is the original one, havent changed any jumpers or settings in about a month, everythings been the same, and now it just started it.

how do you know the battery is still good if you havent switched it out?
thats where i'd start.

do you have a stable overclock? some bios reset if the machine cannot post
