| Junior Techie | hey everyone...i am currently overclocking my AMD athlon 950Mhz to 1Ghz and i was monitoring the temp of my cpu. i was wondering what is like the safe zone as far as temperature goes? mine is running about 114 degrees. any and all feedback is appreciated.

| the flaming hermit | If you're talking about 114 degrees F, then that's not too bad. If it's at 114 degrees C, then you're in big trouble ![]() You don't really want to let it get higher than 60C (140F), but the highest operating temperature for an Athlon is about 90C (194F). And by highest operating temperature, I mean if it gets that high it might not light on fire, but you should turn it off real quick ![]() |
