hows the air flow in your case?
how many fans do you have?
are the fins on the zalman clogged with dust?
are the case fans clogged or dirty?
whats the system temp in your bios?
that temp is definitely too high, and it seems to be correct.
like i said, my 4200 winnie idles WELL below that with the same hsf...

if you had the inclination, apokalipse...maybe you could take the water block off and put a stock cooler on it. just for information purposes. not really neccessary, but i bet it will jump in temp 7-10*, don't you?
and i just noticed its 41* at idle, stock voltage. that is indeed a little high...i think my 4200 idled at like 30-32* with stock voltage and a zalman, and it is a 90nm windsor...
I have used the same watercooling on my 4600+, and it actually ran hotter than my 6000+ does. Both are Windsor cores.

at 2.8GHZ and 1.55V, the 4600+ would hit 58ºC. With watercooling.

However my 6000+, at the same voltage, but at 3.5GHZ, still doesn't get above about 45ºC

The temperatures can vary a lot between two different chips of the same core.
I think it often has to do with how well the thermal paste is applied between the IHS and the CPU core.

Oh and BTW, the stock cooler of my 6000+ is actually a heatpipe cooler. The 4600+'s stock cooler is just a regular aluminium one.

Ok well I removed the side panel from my case ad modded a 120mm fan inside the case blowing throught the zalman. Temp is now between 36-38 degrees. Should I remove the cooler again and try reapplying the paste?
