Okay Im making a gaming pc and I think i've everything I need besides fans. This is waht i have so far:

--NEC Beige IDE DVD Burner Model ND-3520A BG

--Thermaltake SOPRANO VB1430SWS Silver Steel/Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply

--Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST380817AS 80GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive

--DFI nF4-DAGF Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard

--eVGA 128-P2-N368-TX Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card

--OCZ Enhanced Latency 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Copper Heatspreader Model OCZ4001024ELDC-K

I dont know what fans I will need for this setup/tower so any help would be appreciated.

Where exactly do you put thermal compound at?

On the processor. Between the heatsink and the thing that covers the processor. THe metal plate thing.

If he is new he wont really need it since he wont be overclocking.....

Concerning the OS, MAKE SURE its not like... Windows XP _UPGRADE_. I thought I had the OS until I saw it was upgrade only. Went looking for a full version but... ****, 200 bucks for full xp pro at circuit city... 150 for full xp home... i think. HARD as **** to find a copy of windows 98 or something other than xp. Finally found a reinstallation disc of cp from my bro and used it to install my xp upgrade. Thought I'd say this.... incase.. ya know...
