| Re: 3870CF Vs. 8800GT SLi Shwow. I think my next rig will be a crossfire setup indeed. Either that, or I upgrade to a new mobo (perhaps x38?) and buy a pair of 3870's this summer.
But that's just incredible, in a lot of the tests it got close to 100% increase in performance, and like you said, there was one where it got over 100% (1600 x 1200 4xAA 16xAF).

| Re: 3870CF Vs. 8800GT SLi That's very interesting stuff.
So basically, Crossfire scales significantly better than SLI does.
A single 8800 GT will outperform a HD 3870, but when you crossfire/SLI them, they're roughly even.

| Re: 3870CF Vs. 8800GT SLi There's also a HD 3850 512MB version |- Welcome to the PowerColor World -|
which is interesting as far as performance goes.
Single card vs single card, the 3850 512MB will perform between that of an 8800 GTS, and an 8800 GT Graphics :: PowerColor Radeon HD 3850 Xtreme 512MB :: www.hardwarezone.com.au Reviews ::
But they're also cheaper than an 8800 GT.
And in crossfire vs SLI, the performance will be roughly the same
Basically, the 8800 GT will perform better if you're using it as a single card.
Though I am liking the crossfire option, considering the cards are not expensive.
You know what? I might even consider a complete AMD Spider platform.

(I took the total of the % values and divided by 15 for the SLI/CF numbers.)
Way to go boys!
