Default 2 memory freq #'s??

on my gigabyte p43 board the memory frequency has 2 numbers. The description of the setting is

"Memory Frequency (Mhz)
The first memory frequency value is the normal operating frequency of the memory being used and the second is the memory frequency that is automatically adjusted according to the CPU host frequency and the system memory multiplier settings."

What does the second setting mean?

Edit: i need a delete post function =(
I think the first one is just telling me what the default is. I was reading this in the manual, didn't see it in the bios yet.
