For better performance using the WRT54G v.5, it is IMPORTANT that your router's firmware is 1.00.9 or higher. Firmware version 1.00.9 improves router features, improves connection speed and provides a more stable connection compared to previous releases.

NOTE: If you have a firmware lower than 1.00.9, it is IMPORTANT that you immediately upgrade the firmware. For instructions on how to upgrade the firmware on the WRT54G v5
