I'm trying to open and edit a .dat file from a game I play, I have a bad habit of exploring the games files and learning how things work =P. The problem is, when I open the .dat in notepad, all I see is a garbled message.
I'm looking for a way that I can both view this file in a .. readable format, and also edit the contents of it. What programs will I need to do so? I have vb .net and quite a few different tools including reasource editors (which ive made good use of
) but non of which have been of any help in this matter.
