So how exactly do you use it, does it come with software that is designed to do it?

Also, can you use it WITHOUT MCE? Or is there other software you need to use a TV tuner if you do not have MCE?

Ah, just saw some of the cards are designed for MCE some are designed for just non MCE. Now, these are the two I found.

and

As far as I see the two main differences is the fact of the input ports, is that all or am I missing something, I probably will get the 137 dollar one simply because its cheapter than buying a 19" TV and a DVR recorder, can just download to my HDD.

I can use it like that correct?

BTW, I found a PVR- 500 but it looks like it is ONLY MCE and one of the reviews says it can be **** to get it to work and I have professional so I do not want to have to worry about that. Will a 250 work as wel, seems good since it has onboard encoding into MPEG so I do not have to worry about it. Will it work for my needs?

Watch TV, Record onto my HDD, be able to burn onto a DVD, and able to just watch from the HDD.

Basically I am just afraid of buying it and finding that I need to spend 100 dollars more to get it to work and loose out on the 15% restocking fee.

Sorry for all the questions/edits guys.

Thanks for the help =)
